Wishing to all the incredible Community of amazing Local Guides an amazing new year.
On 31st December the year 2021 was going to end and a New Year 2022 came with a new life experience, prosperity, and lots of love. As we all know at the time of New Year we will make new regulations, promise ourselves and our loved ones to quit something bad, and make a new move on this occasion of New Year.
On the same day of 31st December 2021, Local Guides from Karachi were invited for a remarkable event of New Year Celebrations at Keenjhar Lake Resorts by "Sindh Tourism Development Corporation" to represent the Local Guides Community from Pakistan in the event.
So today I want to share my experience of being there and witness a cheerful festival for 2022.
Friday is an off day for me because as a wholesale business, I also celebrate Friday as a holiday like many other markets of Karachi. In the morning, when I woke up a little bit late, I noticed many missed calls from the government phone number and a cell phone number, so when I called back I had a pleasant surprise that we had to travel to Keenjhar Lake Resorts and enjoy the new year night with STDC.
I and @user_not_found reached the pickup point at 4:00 pm and began our journey fromMillenium Mall
Karachi where the van by STDC with the sign of “Explore Sindh” was waiting for us.
It was around 105 kilometers from Karachi and took almost 2 hours 15 minutes to reach Keenjhar Lake Resorts towards the historical city of Thatta.
We weren’t too early or late, because the main event was about to start.
The event began with the promo of Explore Sindh by the projector LED screen, after which traditional folk Singers came on the stage and put on a great show. And then one by one folk singers were coming and kept entertaining the audience with their brilliant performances.
In addition, STDC set up many stalls where the cultural color was very prominent. There were Handmade clay pots, handicrafts, and lots of cultural items like Traditional dresses, Sindhi Caps, Ajraks, and many other attractive products.
During the wait for the dinner, we walked and took photos of Keenjhar Lake resorts and Noori Restaurant and uploaded them in our Google Maps profiles.
After all the great entertainment by the amazing performers in the event, management called us for dinner with guests of honors who were officials from the Sindh Provincial Government.
It was midnight sharp, When the sky was saturated in colors and lights, Now the spectacular fireworks display had begun. All eyes of the audience were fixed on the sky and all of them took out their mobile phones and kept making videos of it, And so we did.
Overall it was a tremendous experience to be there and glimpse all the amazing efforts by the officials of the Sindh Tourism Department. I would like to say big thanks to Mr. Aleem Lashari who always encourages and appreciates the great activities of Local Guides in Pakistan, and also thanks to Mr. Azam who hosted us and showed a great gesture to us.
