When I was in Jeju, South Korea

It was 2012, I was called to attend a seminar hosted by Pacific Military Command of USA. The seminar was arranged at Jeju Island in South Korea. I was apprehensive at first about South Korea and the culture, traditions and food. When I reached at Busan by Korean airways I was stunt by the natural beauty and the weather of Busan. I was there in a transit to fly for Jeju. I had 4 hours time in my hand. I took a city tour by bus. Korean people were so polite, so helpful that I started loving the country. I was in a awe by the beauty of the city. Only thing is that it was much colder than I expected. I took the flight to Jeju. When I reached Jeju airport, it was small but very well organized. A Korean Lieutenant Colonel was waiting for me to receive. After completing al formalities, when I started for the Silla Hotel, I was again awe struck by the natural beauty of the island. I took the option of getting a room facing Halla Mountain. But to my hard luck in my 8 days, I have never seen the top of the mountain. The weather was not exactly cloudy but misty. I loved the Island. I did tour around at my off time and it was a wonderful time in Jeju.

I would like to meet anyone from South Korea here in Local Guides Connect.
