When can I add points of intrest to Maps like I did Panorama

Long time ago I added lots of photos to Google Earth. Now its difficult to add photos to Maps. If the place is not already listed on Maps I cannot see a way to add the photo. Example include waterfalls not listed except on old topo maps or vistas or hiking trail heads. Not all alpine lakes are named in google either so I can’t add a photo of them.

I take allot of drone photos and videos of North Idaho mountains and forests but have limited ability to add unique spots to Maps. I am trying to make a list of all the waterfalls in the area but less than half of them are on Google Maps.

I can understand that sometime some places are not listed on google maps.

so you can add their place on the GMaps.

Refer Add a missing place to the map

and Add, remove, or share photos and videos

Note: You can add photos for points of interest, like businesses or parks, but not addresses or coordinates.

This does not work for natural features live vistas, dams, waterfalls, or other interesting items.

Your suggestion is only good for bars restaurants and other business type structures.

There is no way to add a hiking trail or spectacular view point or natural formation.

How do I do that. Or is this only for marketing and not nature lovers?

For that purpose, you can use the “Send feedback” and then “Your opinion about Maps” option & suggest the addition of a new feature.
