When I look at the photo contributions by other Local Guides on Google Maps I sometimes can see the view count on each photo when sorted by views. And sometimes not.
And I have been unable to understand when they are on and when they are missing.
PS: I’m not talking about the total view count which is always available.
Could it be platform-dependent? So I only can see them on my Android and not the Desktop?
Frankly, I have never seen an individual photo view count for others, on a desktop browser. Till date, I could see the individual view count of photos only in my contributions.
What @MortenCopenhagen is observing may be a new development and needs to be watched further. Nevertheless, the individual view counts for the photos uploaded by others, is always visible on the phone.
There is one more possibility @sparekh . If one uses a Chromebook along with Android Maps, then all the features available on the phone will be there on the desktop too.
I think you can only see your own counts but no other’s …am I right? I’ve never seen other’s single photo view number. I can see my own. @MortenCopenhagen
The most fundamental difference between the 3 platforms is that on Android the new features show up first - and there is a delay before features show up on Desktop and IOS. If the ever do. Data are pulled from the same database.
