What's the most interesting thing you've done as a Local Guide?

The first thing that come up to my mind is an obvious fact that I love gastronomy and everything about it. Giving reviews to the cafes and restaurants is extremely interesting to me. Having worked as a waitress I remember how important connection with the guests. The feelings, ideas, and impressions people got about the place are important for keeping it open. And feedbacks are those visible and useful tools for constant improvement and creativity.

Some people might say that leaving reviews for food and drinks, service and atmosphere is the job for the professional experts. But what about the owners, what about the restaurateur ? Who do they wanna see in the role of answering the question whether steak cooked incredibly well ? Or whether the cocktail the bartender described as flavored and light was really so?

I will bet that guests themselves are the most precious indicators of the success and long-term well-being of the restaurants and cafes.

I am glad to have an opportunity to try on the role of gastro expert with Local Guides, cause it helped me to discover the way I wanna pursue my university studies and career path. I am sure that people rely on the opinions of the local guides and tend to do so, cause once they open the profile of the place in google maps they get an easy access to thewhole package of experiences of different people in the different time.
