I love exact and detailed maps. I know, I’m a perfectionist. That’s why I started to edit and add places to Google Maps, to make them exact and correct for all users. After adding hundreds of places, I turned to photos. Sometimes they were photos of famous places, like the Eiffel Tower or the Colosseum, sometimes they were just little known places, like bus stops or stations. Yes, it may sound strange, but I’m a Transport Engineer and these are the photos that I’m most passionate about!
Then one day a photo of my city had a stunning success, about 300k views, and I felt happy and proud. Actually, I was showing a large audience my hometown, surrounded by hills and with a beautiful medieval village. Only then did I realize that my effort was truly appreciated by users.
Certainly, I’ll continue to add photos and places hoping that my every contribution will bring to light a hidden place!
