I have come to give you an update on what to expect, when you attend our Meetup on Sunday, Just because our team is made up of the most creative and innovative people in all of Connect ? Yes! You can take that to the bank!

THE CONNECT LIVE ATTENDEES’ EXPERIENCES’ MEETUP
We released our banner for the INSPIRATIONAL VIRTUAL MEETUP-3 on the 6th of June, 2020 and I just discovered tonight that an awesome 52 have completed the RSVP of the possible 250 attendees and I am laughing like this;

If you have attended any of the first two Inspirational Virtual Meetups, raise your hands.
I co-hosted the second one, so I am joining this queue.

Let me give you a run-through what to expect at the Meetup;
INSPIRATIONAL VIRTUAL MEETUP
This is an initiative of TravellerG he has set up (along with his dedicated team) a series of 12 Monthly MeetUps and a series of over 50 Weekly Grooming sessions; with the aim of grooming Local Guides, not just of Indian origin but all Local Guides across the Globe.
This Meetup is aimed at inspiring YOU to “be an Professional Local Guide”; a Local Guide that 'knows the rules and the How Tos of Google Maps and Connect’ and can, in turn, groom other Local Guides to be the same.
At this Meetup, what will you be learning?
- What is Connect Live?
- Why should I go to Connect Live?
- Who is eligible to go to Connect Live?
- Where is Connect Live hosted?
- How do I stand a better chance at getting selected for Connect Live? (Now, there is no perfect answer to this, that is why 12 different people have been selected to come share their experiences. It’s better you do not miss any, the more you attend, the better you may be at finding out “what exactly” this Google Team will be looking out for in me!)
- What other activities can I engage in if I attend Connect Live.
Come with your paper and Pen, ready to jot. Many of the Past attendees will be with us on that day, especially; my amazing @vvbellur ; one of the most celebrated women of Indian origin, who I respect so much. We call her the "Solo Traveller".
In this session, one of the Youngest to have ever been selected; Riya Mathew, is going to share her experience and also give us some tidbits about her journey after Connect Live ? to the city with the tallest building in the world!!!

PART TWO (THE AFTER PARTY)
In the second part of this Meetup, engineered by Ewaade and the amazing Alpha Sumareh, we have decided to bring you what we call the "AFTER PARTY".
I ‘met’ DJ Alpha last week Saturday, after “he made me turn on my video (during a virtual Meetup) to dance because of his expertise at what he does” at the AFROBEATS VIRTUAL MEETUP organized by Lily_Asongfac.
I began looking for Alpha Sumareh, I never knew I was spelling his name wrongly ?. I saw one of his posts and sent a comment;
“Dear DJ Alpha, I need your help with hosting my Meetup on Sunday”. He replied after what seemed like an eternity; a soon-to-be painful reality. ? ?
"@Ewaade_3A my sincere apologies, my brother has been sick for the past few days and was taken to an intensive care unit this morning due to sickle cell anaemia attack. I am also on my final exams that is why it’s been challenging to catch up with my notifications. Please check your private message"
I did and he immediately got into the mood and asked me to send the clips and what I wanted to appear in the video which was aimed at explaining to you all, what to expect on Sunday. I think I owe you that much for promising me “two hours” of your time on a Sunday during this COVID-19 Lockdown. ?
I was gladdened by Alpha’s help because you see; “I am funny, I am creative, I can make money ?, I can write, I can tell a story and do many other cute things ? but one thing I can’t do is this ‘geeky, techie stuffs’”
PAINFUL DEMISE OF A DEDICATED LOCAL GUIDE
I had sent him the notes, pictures, videos, clips and all using Google Slides, when at 7:34 p.m. (GMT+1), Alpha sent me a message to tell me his brother had passed on ? ? ? ?
His brother was equally a Local Guide and an amazing one at that! What a loss to this community of exceptional Local Guides!
This MeetUp belongs to us, right? So, I had to carry on. I woke up this morning and began tutorials, I will share with you all in the “How Tos” session after the Meetup, how I created this video;
Despite his pain, Alpha reached me this evening and volunteered to edit the slides! I told him a big No.
This second part is inspired by DJ Alpha and created for all the fun-loving Local Guides like Ewaade who will like to relax and have some fun after the Inspirational Virtual Meetup ‘Talk session’ is over.
We will have;
