Dear everyone,
I created a quick meet the locals video for my nonprofit Montreal Charity MONHOOD to demonstrate how it is possible to meet with owners of bars, cafes, restos etc. in a neighbourhood and ask them to tell the world a bit about their passion and what recommendations they themselves have in the area to pay it forward.
I believe in improving neighbourhoods by helping keep the local businesses alive as it benefits the local community. This is why I joined Local Guides to not only share my discoveries but mainly help promote small businesses as most simply don’t have cash for advertising, time or even understanding of how to use reviews on Google Maps. I always get a big thank you from the owners after I ask them for permission first to take pictures and explain what Im trying to help them with. One tip, get a good camera or smart phone with a good lens. I can recommend the LG G5/6 which come with dual lenses including wide angle for that extra view.
So “Think Global & Act Local” and if anyone else is interested in joining this movement please contact me on here and lets get the ball rolling
Ciao for now,
Martin
