What you do to become Earth a better place? (Earth Day)

Today was Earth Day and here are some things that we can do to help our planet.

My mom use to recycle since I was a little girl and I learned with her. we have some plants in our yard and we try to use all the things more than once so here are two exemplos of what we did to give ‘other live’ to objects that use to go to trash.

  1. It was a styrofoam box(like a cooler) where fresh fish came to a Japanese restaurant. We also use this boxes to keep things that we don’t use that much. These boxes keep clothes and objects without mold, dust or bugs.

  2. A plastic water bottle (5 liters) and under it a broken water filter. Both with plants now. Small bottles you can use to put some seeds and give ‘baby plants’ as a gift fot friends (in Chrismas or birthdays). People here in Brazil use to like it.

Other thing that is very common in Brazil (at least in my state ) is this tipe of broom. It are made from plastic bottles (pet bottles) and is very useful to cleaning yards and streets. It’s also very durable.

How is in your country? In your town? In your home? Do you plant? Do you recycle?

I would love to see how is there!

I also showed these things on a meetup today organized by @Sagir.

We spoke about recycle, organic food, people showed their plants, what we can do to help our planet and how we can do it beeing a LG and about the activities that @ermest organize to Clean the World (Here about Local Guides Clean The World - Second anniversary and a few Recaps from LG who did a meetup for it).

Thanks for reading it!

Just reading @SarahKa

It is amazing how much creative we can be to reuse / recycle what we have.

The broom is amazing, I really love it. The small steps that everyone of us can take to improve the life in our Planet are definitely important.

A lot of people think that caring about the Environment is something simply too big for us, but it is not like that.

The sum of our small steps is what can really change the world.

Thank you so much for this post, and of course, for caring and loving

A big hug

Ermes

Nice @Shrut19 :slightly_smiling_face: We use aloe vera here too . But we don’t use to eat here. Normally we use externally on medicinal purposes or in a skincare or haircare.

These are from my yard :

Take care!
