How did you improve in 2019, personally and as a local guide.
What were your challenges and what situation allowed you to learn something that has changed you?. What thing that you learned has helped you improve as a local guide?
I want everyone to feel free to share and go over their year, analyse and get ready for a better 2020.
You cannot go back in time. That was the lesson. Do the important today, do not wait. A friend had cancer and needed a bone marrow transplant. He got it and it improving slowly. But, I was not able to even try to donate because it takes months to get in the system. I’m glad to say I’m now ready as a registered donor. In the USA you can register at https://bethematch.org/
How did this help me as a local guide? My photos are to help people now. Ok, I still add a silly one at times, but mostly focused on adding photos of small churches, local relief groups, and some small businesses. Just trying to improve the local community.
@KhakiStorm thanks for sharing your story, it’s moving. I sure will consider registering myself. And live in the present, try to help others too. Thanks for sharing
I’ve learned alot actually but the lesson that sticks out the most is that all people are different in our own ways, we’re unique. I do believe in karma and you’ll get what you deserve. So my lesson is to treat everyone the way you’d want to be treated. Before this year I never really thought about it, I didn’t care, honestly. Till I stepped back and looked at my demeanor and response to the people around me. I had to find myself…I was told that you can’t love anyone until you love urself. That’s what I had to do. So I believe I learned a valuable lesson in life this year, and that’s to treat other’s the way you expect to be treated, and to find and love urself, so you can love the people around you.
@mariorosas though am already two months into 2020. I’ll have to admit I have learnt as a local guide you don’t walk n work alone. You need the ideas of others with the same passion as yours, you need their experiences. As local guides we need each other.
@Robkenya This is very accurate my friend, no man is an island. We need others, we need to share ideas and help each other out. This produces the best results!
