Hello local guides,
Today I would like to share with you some part of the 150th meetup organized by Bangladesh Local Guide.
This year’s meetup of Bangladesh Local Guides reflects the long-term plan and tireless work of the organizing committee.
Held in Jaflong, Sylhet district in the northeastern part of Bangladesh. The meetup was attended by selected local guides from different parts of the country, including Dhaka.
It was a camping and back-packing meet-up. I am really happy that I could went from Dhaka to Sylhet after a long time and participate in such a meetup.
I had the opportunity to gain some special experience in this two-day meetup. These include: Jaflong Zero Point, Sangrampunji Falls, DB’s Haor, Lalakhal Tour. Eating local traditional food / cake, overnight stay in the tent, Bar-B-Q party, campfire.
I prefer to visit different places as well as eat local traditional food. Local and traditional dishes were also on the list of 150th meatup dishes.
What was on the 150th Meatup’s food list? I am sharing with you.

Local guides in Bangladesh always try to support local businesses. That’s why we hire a chef. Our chef is also a Level-7 local guide. He runs a catering service in Sylhet. We added him as part of our team not just for food, but for learning and sharing experiences.
It is to be noted that Jaynul Chowdhury and his family, the local guide of Sylhet, arranged all the meals except breakfast on the first day and lunch on the second day. Many thanks to Jaynul Chowdhury and to your family for arranging meals nicely for everyone and introducing us to local traditional food.
Hopefully you will get the details of this meetup in the posts of others.
