What triggers the rejected/spam post designation?

I have tried to submit a post 4 times now and each time it is rejected.

  1. The first time I thought it may be due to photos being included so I removed for the next post
  2. With another rejection, I’m trying to determine if it’s a word I used? So I removed the word YouTube
  3. Now I’m thinking it may be due to the links I made to some lists I made, so I removed those

…and I honestly don’t know if this post will be rejected. Please… someone tell me what the trigger is that rejected my posts. I’d love to contribute but I can’t spend hours working through these issues. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Denise_Barlock

I have just released your first post.

The best thing to do, if one of your post has been sent in quarantine, is to tag a moderator, here or here, for checking and releasing your post.

For more information please read Why was my Connect post marked as spam?

@ErmesT What does it mean to tag a moderator? Do I put a reply in the post your referenced with all moderators tagged? Is there a way to see who is online? Please help with how to get in touch with a moderator. Thanks in advance.

Hi @Denise_Barlock

tagging means mentioning a moderator using the @ simbol and composing the username of the moderator, this activate a notification. Google Moderators are responding during working hours. Connect Moderators are Volunteers, active mostly in the weekend.

There is no way to see if a moderator is online. You can put a reply in one of the shared post, or you can write a post, like you did today. As I said, your post is no longer in Spam.

You can find your post here. I have released just the first one
