What the Local guides program means to me.

The local guide program has made me develop a third eye with regards to my surroundings. When visiting places I take note of my surrounding so that I can use what I see to help others. In the past, I used maps to help me navigate my way around, especially when visiting new places but I am so glad that now I can use maps not just for navigation but also to help others make decisions.

Visiting a new place can be a bit hectic especially when one does not know what sites to see or where to eat or even where to get that souvenir to carry back home. It gives me so much joy to answer questions on google maps as well as give reviews knowing very well that my sentiments on maps will make it easier for other people to navigate around new places.

I believe that we can all do our part, however big or small, in making the world a much better place to live in. To be able to make it easier for someone else to navigate around and easily make decisions is one way in which I choose to make the world better for someone else and that means a lot for me as a local guide.
