2020 marks my third year of being a Local Guide and in terms of my unique creations, I try to think about the little things that make the big differences for maps users. I differentiate myself by providing detailed reviews, for example making sure that a maps user knows the exact location, operating hours, pricing and also the various foods served at a certain Hotel or Restaurant.
The benefits:
When I became Local Guide three years ago, I didn’t take some things on maps seriously for example, writing a review, sharing a photo or even answering a quick question. But things changed when I noticed I had helped someone on maps through answering a simple question about a movie cinema and its show time.
It was then that I embarked on place creation and addition, review writing, sharing photos and videos of places visited and viewing my very own edits active on maps gave me so much support and courage to keep up.
The Local guides connect platform has also been of great help as I have gained more skills on photography, review writing and hosting meetups. Making new friends Globally has also been an achievement on the program, as I have been able to connect with new People from the three Boroughs of New York, Uruguay, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands and India.
