What the Local Guides Program Means to me: Helping Others As Well As Being Helped

Two years ago I found out what being a local guide meant, and since then I have tried to contribute as much as I can to the map. Being a local guide for me means I get to help others and they get to help me.
My wedding party needed a hotel to stay for the weekend. What did I do? I read reviews of hotels near the wedding venue and with the best reviews, I picked out a very good hotel. And being a local guide myself, I knew to look for reviews that are sincere, well written and not mechanical. Getting to the hotel too was made possible by the map.
When it comes to helping others, I do not shy away from clicking the pop up banner that says someone needs my help to answer a question about where I’ve been and reviewed. To the best of my knowledge, I always give an answer.
I also do not shy away from adding places to the maps. My city, Asaba, is still growing, so there are a lot of places and a lot of streets missing from the map. That’s where I come in.

Sometimes I find it difficult input information about certain places when I add them to the map. Either the street name starts to change or the street is not added at all.
Why, is gonna be my first question for the Google map staff if I get chosen to attend connect live 2020.
