What the Local Guides program mean to me

As a Local Guide Level 5, I’m so glad to be part of the Local Guides community, I derive great pleasure posting and giving updates on reviews and visited places.

I traveled from Nigeria, western Africa to have my Portuguese course here in Sao Paulo, when I arrived here, I found it so hard to communicate or locate my moves which makes everything more difficult and complicated for me.

Whenever I wanted to see new places, I make use of my Google Map to locate my nearest bus terminals or subway station.

Most times I always change reviews on the Google Local Guide platform to check reviews just to keep me aware of where I’m going and what the place is about.

I posted my first picture on this platform almost a year ago, I tagged the location, the picture is that of my School ( FAAP) here in Sao Paulo… Just in few days I’ve got over 100 views and I was amazed.

I’ve also visited several sport and recreational parks here in the state, one of this is the sport park Tietê, located at the northern part of the city.

I’m very inspired by the idea of being part of a global community like these. Where ever I go, I use my camera and take pictures and post it, it’s not only about being a Local Guide, but it’s a way of helping millions of people who cares to see new places. Beside this community have helped me in multiple ways and it’s my duty and pleasure to help others, this is the best way to make that world a better place.
