Hello fellow Local Guides,
today I want to share my thoughts with you guys on what the Local Guide Program means to me.
These days, people have the possibility to access information relevant to them at any time and from any place in the world with their smartphones. This obviously includes finding the right restaurant for dinner with your partner as well as the planned museum visit on the next saturday. It is all the more important that the information you access is organized correctly and properly. With Google Maps and the local guide program I can help to be part of this - in my opinion - great solution.
For me it is always a great experience to get to know new places you may have passed a handful of times before - but were never aware of what’s really behind the entrance door. Or discover new culinary possibilities away from the favourite dishes everyone has. Collecting new impressions of historical events that have left their footprints in almost every place in the world in some way or another. Last but not least, through all these interactions you also make new contacts with people who think like me. That’s why i’m here.
