Who else thinks it’s frustrating to walk into a place you’ve never been to and you get really bad service? Ever had to use the location search details on the map and once you’re there, you’re told either of these: “They no longer operate here” OR “I’ve never heard that name before”? The Google Local Guides Program does not only keep these at bay, it also helps me have a feel and experience of these places before I visit them.
Ever since I became an active local guide, I literally do a happy dance every time my contributions help people with navigations and decision-making. How do I know this? The views and likes keep going up. It’s fulfilling knowing that someone gets help whenever they see the contributions I’ve made; be it pictures or the honest reviews or the questions answered.
@therealveev you are right, it’s definitely frustrating going to a place and not finding it there or closed. Keep contributing as local guides, it helps a lot.
