What should we eat in Hanoi, Vietnam

When foreign visitors mention Vietnamese cuisine, i’ve realized they offen said about Phở, Bún chả, Bánh cuốn - they are popular specialty in Hanoi.

Thus, they’ve dismiss the best traditional food in Hanoi - Xôi.

Xôi is made from sticky rice. There are so many kind of Xôi such as: Xôi gấc, Xôi xéo, Xôi chả, Xôi dừa,… I think you must have taste Xôi Xéo

Amazingly attractive with its bright yellow color, “xoi xeo” is sold in every wet market or may even be right on the street corner early in the morning.

The seller keeps “xoi xeo” warm in a bamboo basket which is carried on the shoulder or fastened behind the bicycle.

“Xoi xeo” is a special dish for breakfast, especially with students and manual laborers thanks to its rather low price, its fulfillment and palatability.

You can try most of them at Xôi Yến, 35B Nguyễn Hữu Huân. When you try it once, you’ll come back several time.

Thanks for spending time in my reviewing. Have a nice day and follow my next post.
