A lot of beautiful city and a lot of beautiful pics!
But I think there are very few cities in the world like mine: #Barcelona
A metropolis on the Mediterranean sea, with beautiful colours every day of the year, an excellent climate, friendly people, a lot of culture and history, excellent connections with the principal cities in the world, amazing beaches…
From its awe-inspiring skyscrapers, to its endless art scene, to its perfect pizza, there are tons of great reasons to visit New York City. I should know — I’ve lived here my whole life. But to me, the very best reason to take a trip to NYC is to experience its cultural diversity.
Step onto almost any subway, and you’ll be surrounded by people of different races, religions, and social classes. You’ve probably heard of Little Italy and Chinatown, but did you know you can also visit Little India in Queens, Little Poland in Brooklyn, and Little Ireland in the Bronx? It’s estimated that as many as 800 languages are spoken throughout the city’s five boroughs.
Our restaurants, shops, and museums celebrate ethnicities from around the world. Just the other day, I gave a stranger directions in Albanian, ate Vietnamese food with a friend from Venezuela, and bought jewelry from a French designer.
These are just a few things that make me appreciate being born and raised in New York City, but I want to know what you like most about your hometown! Is there a restaurant you love to take your family to? How about a museum that’s as stunning on the outside as it is on the inside? Or a scenic park where you can take in the Earth’s natural beauty?
Local Guides like you come from exciting places all over the globe. So tell us, what’s the best reason to visit your hometown?
Because when I go my hometown I memorize my old memories, my friend, and place where I spent my childhood. Also many places are very beautiful which we are not forgot in our life
So, Portland Oregon is a nice place to visit. This little creek, for example, is withing the city limits. But there’s nothing to do. It’s boring, really boring. In fact there actually is a town named Boring nearby. I kid you not. Google it!
My Tijuana is the best city in Mexico, in the back you can find a very nice atmosphere, the original people of the city are very kind, quality, affectionate, what support you if you need them at any time, we have a very famous avenue called ave.Revolucion, there are a lot of nightclubs, culture and art wherever you go … we are multicultural.
They find a great variety of handicrafts very typical of the region, we have a great variety of wines from the Valle de Guadalupe region.
I was there once many years ago with someone who knew the city. They took us to a local “fast food” place where nobody spoke English. They ordered for us a big plate of carnitas, tortillas, and dishes of avacado, limes and cilantro, and we made our own fresh tacos at the table. A group of musicians wandered in. Someone was celebrating a birthday and they sang to her. Then SHE stood up and sang to her friends while the musicians accompanied. I fell in love with Tijuana that day!
Ah, I hail from the small town of Ipoh, Malaysia and over the past few years this small little town nestled between the hills of Kinta Valley has been getting quite a lot of attention for various reasons. It was even featured in Lonely Planet’s 2017 as one of the Top 10 must-visit places in Asia!
There are many reasons why you should visit Ipoh, but I think many locals can agree that FOOD is definitely one of the top reasons. We are famous for our food like the bean sprout chicken, beancurd, asam laksa and our signature white coffee. There are so many food choices here that you don’t have to worry about eating the same food twice while you’re here (unless you’re planning to stay for months, that is).
I can go on with the list of food that Ipoh is famous for, but it would just make me drool and miss my hometown more.
While food is one of the best reason to visit Ipoh, another close contender that I can think of are the limestone temples. Due to the many limestone hills surrounding Ipoh, there are many temples built into them, which is quite the sight to visit.
There are also other temples around Ipoh, but you get the gist. It’s quite an amazing experience to be there and realize that it takes thousands of years for these caves to form, slowly through the process of erosion.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also travel slightly out of town to visit Tempurung Cave.
Ipoh is truly a remarkable place to visit due to its food and scenery and I am proud to call it my hometown. Do drop by if you have the chance and let me know if you need any tips or recommendations!
