Level 7 Local Guide from India with 5.5M+ Photo Views – Perks & Rewards?

Hello Local Guides community! :waving_hand:

I’m a Level 7 Google Maps Local Guide from India, and I’ve been actively contributing to Google Maps.

Here are my current contribution stats:

:camera_with_flash: Posts: 5.5K

:eyes: Photo Views: 5.5M+

I’m grateful to be part of the Local Guides community and enjoy helping people discover places and make better decisions through my contributions.

Since I’m currently at Level 7, I wanted to ask the community about the perks and rewards currently available to Local Guides in India in 2026.

A few questions:

- Are there any Level 7 perks or rewards currently available in India?

- How can I check whether my account is eligible for any rewards or special perks?

- Are perks/rewards sent automatically by email, or is there somewhere we need to claim them?

- Are there any Local Guides events, early-access opportunities, or special programs that I can participate in?

- Does having a high number of photo views or consistent contributions affect eligibility for special perks?

I’d love to hear from other Level 7+ Local Guides, especially those from India, who have recently received rewards or participated in Google Local Guides events.

Local guide is a volunteering program, you won’t get anything for contributing on Google maps but Google will recognize you as a Local Guide for your contribution. Anyway, you will get points for your every contribution on Google Maps and you can raise up your local guides levels.

However, Google Local Guides perks depends on quality contribution on Google Maps; Google sends some perks to Local Guides for high-quality contributions. Moreover, to receive perks, you must be subscribed to emails about them and contribute regularly on Maps. Please be sure that your email preferences have perk emails enabled by visiting your Local Guides settings .
