According to my dashboard overview in Google Maps, I have now contributed and thus travelled to over 1000 places in the past years. The main countries I visit are in Asia as I live for 13 years now in Singapore. Every time I am in an unknown place, I love to help local entrepreneurs that I appreciate to market themselves, so that interested consumers can find their business and exchange value. I help them to add their restaurant or shop on Google Maps and create awesome pictures and true reviews for them. Few months ago I was visiting The Ankor Wat temples in Cambodia. Just outside I found this amazing ice cream parlour, with home made ice creams in all kind of shapes and tastes. The kids loved it. And I paid back with adding the business to google maps and leaving my review.
The Local Guides program allows me to contribute to a world where people are better able to find each other, without boundaries. People across nationalities, income segments and belief systems have access to the same information. That is a world that I like to live in. A world with a single community
