What makes a review worthy of a thumbs up?

Whenever I write a review I want to make it as useful as possible. I try to always add details about various aspects of the place or food, any tips or suggestions I have, plenty of photos and anything else I can think would help someone make an informed decision about going somewhere.

What I haven’t figured out yet is how to write reviews that are guaranteed to get thumbs up likes, or at least more likely to at least. I’ve written 268 reviews, 139 of which are over 200 characters yet only received 44 likes in total. Is this a decent ratio? Does anyone have any tips on how to write really helpful reviews that are almost guaranteed to get likes?

Looking forward to your thoughts!

@nzjoel Do not worry. I have 282 reviews and about 57 k views. But I have got only 140 likes. People are not yet aware that they can appreciate us by liking them. But I think we will get more likes as they know they can like a review, photos etc. What matters is your view, that shows us our review helped them.

And to get more likes and views, we will have to write a detailed review with helpful points which one user may have about the places. And having a detailed review increase the chance of being shown in the tip of reviews list.
