I am learning how to create Connect posts that are useful, interesting, clear, and genuinely human. I do not want to publish only for visibility. I want each post to offer something that encourages people to think, learn, respond, or share their own experience.
Some members use personal stories, helpful photographs, practical lessons, thoughtful questions, or cultural reflections. I would love to understand what makes you stop, read, and join a conversation.
What qualities make a Connect post memorable and worth engaging with for you?
In my opinion, @arbabnaseeb , a topic worth reading is a real one, where Local Guides are sharing a real and well documented experience.
We’re a community of explorers, and many of us like to share their experience, it doesn’t matter if it’s about places or technical tips.
The key is to be real an honest, and to write post that are coherent with our contributions in Google Maps.

Ich lese gerne kurze, übersichtliche und sachliche Beiträge. Wenn ich lange Beiträge sehe, schrecke ich schon zurück, allerdings nicht, wenn ich beim Lesen feststelle, der Beitrag ist durchweg interessant.
Beispielsweise haben manche Artikel in der Zeitung oder im Internet eine tolle Ăśberschrift, aber je weiter man liest, umso langweiliger wird es, und am Ende weiĂź man nicht, was der Artikel aussagen sollte.

I think a lot depends on how and why we’re on Connect. I never came to Connect as a social media platform. My first visit was a result of being sent here for help on a Google Maps problem. Therefore, I view it as a quasi-help forum. It always surprises me when people create posts that are not related to their Google Maps activity. I also find it surprising that some users attempt to excel at the number of posts they create on Connect. The usual obsession among Local Guides is the number of Points, Photos, Videos, Reviews, Roads, or View Counts we’ve achieved.
Why I stop, read and join your posts is simply because something is triggering one of my hashtags, so I always see them. But as I responded to one of your earlier posts, the post was way too long, and I couldn’t read all of it.
Another point I hesitate to mention - you’re following 1176 Local Guides, but only 13 are following you. Maybe there’s a message in this.
