Hello everyone i am Nishant Saraswat a level 8 local guide.
Background:- I am a local guide since 2017 but 2019 was the most productive year for me as i joined this wonderful connect platform and became a bigger & better local guide. I always used to and use ‘Google Maps’ to visit new places and one day i visited a place and then i opened the info of that place. I saw that people are contributing by giving reviews & uploading pictures of places which is helping a lot of people. On that day i decided to become a proud local guide.
What does it means :- For me this programme means a lot, my life is different from the day i became a ‘Local Guide’. I just love the thing that this programme allows and encourages me to help thousands of people by just using google maps (by posting helpful and detailed reviews of the places i’ve visited, by adding small and less known businesses ). This programme inspired me to explore and visit new places as earlier i was an occasional explorer but now i love to go to new places like restaurants, parks and tourist places and sharing my experiences about these places alongwith pictures, videos and 360 pictures.
It helps me to share one of my favourite hobby (which is photography) with the world through this programme and it also enhanced my photography skills.

This review was my first detailed review as a local guide. I just love to explain everything about every place i’ve visited.
One of the best thing about this programme for me is that i can share my pictures with the world through ‘Local Guides’ programme. I love to share beautiful pictures of the places, food items, menus, etc through this programme. When i get views and likes on my pictures i feel very proud and encouraged.
In 2019 i got to know about the ‘Street View’ app for 360° pictures, since then i became a fan of this app. Till now i have uploaded around 40 photo spheres. Uploading themis one of the best thing i do on google maps (through street view app).
Local guides programme encourages me to visit and explore new places, as i know that by visiting new and more locations i can get more experiences, pictures and then i can share them on maps to help a lot of people.
I just love to help other as this is the spirit of Humanity.
Whenever i visit a small or less known place, i add that place that place on the google maps, in that way i can help small owners to spread their business with the help of ‘Local Guides’ programme.
What inspires and encourages me to contribute more & more on the maps :- I love to see the stats of my recent contributions, it encourages me to contribute more and more.
I also love the monthly email regarding my contributions.
