The Local Guides program gives me the pleasure that my experiences are helpful for someone else and the fun of sharing with what I know about. 
For example, when I go to a restaurant, I often post comments and pictures about food, atmosphere or facilities. After several weeks and months, I sometimes receive the notification of “Your reviews are helping others: at least 5 people marked your reviews as helpful, a record for you on Google.” from Google. At that time I can’t stop smiling.
