The world is fast changing. The internet has come with so much benefit to mankind. Information is vital and here google and Local Guides program have helped so much in disseminating information to people helping them in their daily activities and day to day decisions.
Years back I was in my friend’s car going to an unknown location. I was fascinated when he put google map to see direction to our destination. More fascinating was the voice prompts. I was like its this real?
But along the way we started asking people for direction because google map cannot take us any further. This is the void I have come to fill.
Notably, the google team cannot be everywhere. I am an extension of their lens to see and put in place what they cannot see or reach.
In view of this, Local Guides program means a lot to me. It demystifies the notion of being a stranger because one can always run to google to check for places, restaurants, hotels, etc.
People like me and my friend can drive smoothly to their destination without asking questions. This is the aspect I love so much. Seeing people view and comment on your posts/reviews makes me joyful and pushes me towards doing more to improve their lives and decision making process.

Furthermore, Local Guides program has developed a part me that wants to explore more and more. I have grown in confidence taking pictures, making videos and meeting people with diverse knowledge.
Actually am not a photo person. I admire anything good and go my way. But local guides has made me pay attention to pictures I shoot and videos I make knowing fully well that they are not only for me and my friends but for people around the globe to see. These pictures and videos also help visitor to make choices of where to go.
