What Local guides program mean to me

Before there was internet or digital information acceable at the fingertips I looked at Atlas books as a kid and teenager, I always liked to keep track of where I wanted to go, to be or been and being a little of a nerd to keep a register, write about, share and read others posts with common interest. So when I discovered Google maps local guides was like getting something that was tailored based on my interest, a geographical register of places that gets constantly updated and I can have a part in.There has been others such as Yelp,Apple map so after doing all of them for a while I realised I have to pick one, I cannot add post in all of them and google maps LG was the one that suited me best. it has been 4 years since I became a regular and post about all the places of service, restaurants, hotels, landmarks, government office and common touristy places

What LG program means to me is to have the opportunity of being part of a global event, at the comfort of my home I am doing my part and leaving my mark in this Information age, to affects the peoples life for the better(I hope) and same use information to my advantage. I am part of a growing local guides community and I am growing as a person in parallel to it.
