Being a person who always wanted to give back something, Local guides provided a platform to express what i feel about certain places, food, travel … you name it. Though i am currently focussing on Travel and food reviews but i strongly believe I wish to do a lot using Local guides, mostly giving back to the society.
In India, where i come from, there are small places which serve great food and are worth visiting. People usually remain unaware of such places and miss some real good fun. Most of these places are not even listed on Google Maps.
My efforts are to promote these places by posting their reviews & photos of what they serve. I am trying to encourage many such outlets to enlist on Google Maps by educating them how this will help them business wise, how people can locate them easily, how reviews would help them upgrade etc.
I always wanted to click good photos with a purpose. Well Local guides has provided me the purpose where my photos can say a lot more than words can. Few photos which i have posted,
Local guides has also given me a learning from the usual work I have been doing in life and is motivating me to go towards something I really wish to do in life, what makes me happy!!
I never expected any badges, levels while doing all this and neither was aware of it ?
But when it started coming along with views and likes for my reviews, calls from the restaurant owners to thank me for my reviews, it all motivated me even more.
Lots of things yet to be shared, lots of happiness yet to come my way ?
