What Local Guides means to me: given back, friendly competition, direction and lots more.
The Local Guides program has greatly inspired me since I joined last year through my engagements of adding locations, business, places etc. I have made friends, been educated about new places, cultures, diversity, passions. I have travelled to new place using the Google Map for directions without asking someone on the road and I got to the exact location which my friend Otega and the Driver was amazed how it worked. Ultimately, I have added many local business for more than 2 cities here in Nigeria like (Beauty by Teji, Adex Décor) and it has been identified by potential customers that has left reviews about the business which in turn help others to understand the business and enhances customer relationship. This program has really helped in identifying and applauding our differences in uniting us in our commonalities: flare for exploring new things.
At some point, I was asked what benefit is Local Guide to me? and does it pays money? well I simply answered that it was about experience and giving out right information which I love doing but fortunately for me, by January 2020, I got a mail about been awarded a Google Local Guide Perk which I followed instructions and by February 2020, I received a call from our Post Office distributor about my Item that has been shipped down to Nigeria from Overseas. I was really overwhelmed about it. Well that was another boost and courage for me to continue. Family & friends that saw it was like really?

Am so much delighted about being a Local Guide, the monthly feedbacks on how appreciative my reviews, answers, contributions, posts, photos etc. have been helping out others identify places and more… some time my friend @Odiapeters and I compare our contributions and the likes and views we get from our shares; as well as our experiences as Local Guides and also share some of our to-do-list for specific period.
