Hi I am Sayantan from Kolkata, India. I have been contributing & part of the local guide community from 2016. And why I do not get bored but still connected with the program, this is the bonding. We(I & the LG program) met each other when I reviewed a place. After getting into this program I started exploring more things & getting more knowledge about the program. I found the program interesting.
Reason for contribution : After few months I got mail from Google .My photos are popular, that makes me so happy .I understand some how my photo helped a lot of people. They can visualize about the area. I found through this program I can help millions of people. Then I started contributing more actively.Later I came to know about the meet up, & from there I also got familiar with this platform where I`m writing my feeling Localguidesconnect . I got really amazed by watching here soo many LGs contributing differently in their own unique way. That time I fell so good & lucky to be a part of this community. From that day till now Local Guide program means a lot for me.
I started attending & organizing meetups and let others also involve with this awesome program. Then in our friend group people start calling me as Local guide. That was respect for me. It really gave me another identity in my life. I also got popular with the Local guide name . My point was that not only me everyone can be a part of it so just start contribute & join the program then you also would be the part of our LG community.
The Local Guide program is an opportunity to help our people & improve the location in Google map. We also can make a strong international & local community , make friends , learn from others through this awesome program. LG means a lot of fun, create new friends, having new foods with different LG friends, helping others, attend/host meets and explore new places, let others aware about new places by contributing. Now It become a culture, and I feel proud to be a part of this culture. It is a strong bond by people for the people.
