The local Guides program is like eyes for me. Through which I can show or see new places in the world by the virtual world of experience created by wonderful local guides.
I am Ajay Sharma, from Chandigarh, India. I am currently pursuing Mechanical Engineering. I am a level 7 local Guide with 1.6 million views on my pictures that I uploaded in the last two years. I love to travel and share my experience with others. Before being a Local Guide, I used to share my experience with only my friends and family but now I can share my experience with the world through uploading pictures, writing honest reviews and adding new places on Google maps.
At the starting of this program, when I was at level 1, it was just like a task to upload the pictures on Google Maps and give stars to the places I visited. But one day I posted a picture of a place, given stars and for the first time, I wrote a review. That post got an amazing response. After that, I started doing the same thing for every place I visited. Now, My Most viewed post is having 9,95,997 views.
The Real source of motivation for being regular for the program is the monthly emails that show us our progress as a local guide. I love and feel proud when I receive email from google maps that I am among the " TOP 1% " local guide of my city. I want to tell you that apart from being a local guide on google maps, I am an influencer on google maps too as I made my parents and one friend, to take part in the local guide program.
local Guide Program is a serious job, as it can decide a new small business’s first impression to viewers. I love to try new restaurants in my city. So, whenever I get a chance to try I go there and try the food and I give a review. Once there was a new restaurant and I gave a very good review for there food. After that review, the restaurant is one of the best in our area, because that type of reviews gives a positive impression to viewers.
I hope to see you all at Connect live 2020. By the way, I make vlogs. So if I got a chance to visit California, Bay Area then I gonna make a vlog of my journey and interaction with the local guides from around the world.
