Hello World my name is Denys, I’m an experienced traveler and always eager to find beautiful places that are not well known. Actually I do have a bunch of them. Before participating in Local Guides program I shared those hidden gems with other travelers I met on my way. Once I discovered the Local Guides program I started to share my places and post my reviews. It has become my hobby. It’s so great that other people be able to enjoy the places you discovered and experience new emotions.
With the help of other people you can see a lot of amazing places that are basically always been around you.
On weekends we gather with friends and select the place using reviews in Local Guides and go there! This is so awesome!
The word “share” means a lot for me. And I want to tell you about my favorite secret place on Koh Samui, Thailand. This island is very touristic and there are a lot of people on its beaches, so it’s hard to find a good not crowded place. Here is the story how I found my favorite beach on this coconut island.
I was riding my scooter to a temple but made one wrong turn and followed the road. The road brought me to the deserted beach. There were absolutely NO people along the whole beach line. Emotions overwhelmed me, cause I knew at that moment I was the only one at this place. There were no other people footprints except mine! And I want to share this awesome place with you. This program means a lot to me, it helped to deal with my fear, a fear to share my thoughts and photos with the other people. Cause I was afraid of hating comments. But people started to like my posts and reply with warm words. I feel that I’m doing something big, helping other people discover new places.
