Holidays are around the corner and one wishes to travel to a certain desired destination. Choosing a travel destination maybe overwhelming, and this can happen whether one is embarking on a trip for the fist time or a seasoned traveler. So for one to be successful in coming up with a nice holiday destination, one would ask friends and family about the places they have visited before or have heard off before. So to simplify this long process, the Local Guides program was introduced.
This is one of the many reasons why i have fallen in love with the Local Guides program, being a Local Guide myself for almost 2 years, i would say i have benefited a lot in-terms of the best possible knowledge i needed before and after traveling. The Local Guides program has had a very huge impact on my life from the day i started knowing about it. Being a Local Guide has made me see the world in a different view, from how most people see it, and that is why i love being a Local Guide to help others, Locally and Globally to see our world in a different perspective.
Life these days revolves around the internet and people are spending most of their time there, and this to me has given me the opportunity to explore and share the beauties and wonders of my Country through the Local Guides program. Being a Local Guide means each and every information you share is first hand, which makes it a very special tool in our modern fast world by a way of improving services being offered in all kinds of businesses by forms of reviews.
Local Guides program has helped me in appreciating and learning different types of Cultures through the shared information of different places, be it holiday destinations, restaurants, businesses only to name a few.
Growing up i was always an adventurous person who loved to explore the world, but due to the financial constraints i was not able to travel places that i wanted, but since i started being a Local Guide the zeal to travel more and make more memories and share with the world became very huge, to the extent of forming a small group with my friends who also love travelling and exploring just like i do, to cut costs of traveling and make it possible to explore.
Local Guides program to me is the present and the future and means life to me, it gave me the opportunity of helping in the most simplest way possible. Like from the movie (The Internship) “everybody is looking for something …” so as a Local Guide i have gotten the chance of helping people get what they are looking for. For example the picture below started escalating on views after reports of the Victoria Falls drying up.
I also love the competition that we build up as Local Guides, for example me and my cousin brother @munyaradzigonga we are always competing, since we always travel together as well. Thanks to Local Guides program i am becoming a good photographer, i used to share pictures of myself instead of posting the right content that helps others. Being a Local Guide i would say has empowered me. The program has given me the Voice and platform to be heard through reviews and also a platform to share great memories and learn lots of things from my fellow Guides.
