Let’s imagine our world at least 20-30 years ago. You visited some cafe that your colleague recommended a couple of months ago. But the quality of food was terrible, music - too loud and the service - very slow. But it’s a total difference from what you heard about this place! Such tremendous changes happened in these months.
How could you prevent that bad experience? Read a book of complaints&suggestions? Sounds silly. Or posted an ad in the newspaper in order to find people who visited this place yesterday? Yeah, I know, that’s a funny assumption.
Thanks, today you have lots of options on how to find a cool place in a quick, easy and free way. One of them is to check info on Google map. You can look at photos, read comments and ask questions. Thousands of people from around the world are here to help you. Research companies can only dream of such a cool poll sample.
But let’s go back to our imaginary situation twenty years ago. We were upset about bad time in the cafe. Asked the administrator to bring book of complaints&suggestions (it seems to me that no one remembered this thing as often in the last few years as I did in this text. Just a lyrical digression). But this person refused to do it or this place didn’t have such. End of story?
Not today. Just write your feedback on Google map. Most of the business owners read comments. They want to improve their work in order to have more clients that leads to higher profit.
So I see here only a win-win situation. That’s why the Local Guides program is important to me.
