Hi, The local Guides program It has been important to me, for about two years. For me, being part of this program means help, discover and the posibility of amaze me.
Since participating in the program, I have been able to help people who have had questions or comments about the places I have frequented. it started in 2018 when I went to Merida, Yucatan in Mexico by then; I did not know that Google Maps could suggest places of interest and from that point on it is the first thing to review once I have a trip in mind.
I am amazed at how there are people who take the time to answer the doubts of others, the people who have been so diligently able to talk about their experience so that everyone can know or discover a small part of the world that belongs to them.
It also offers the possibility that people can see the world through our eyes, the detail, the perspective, in any case, the way we decide to capture a photograph of some place speaks of us, It makes us strive in the following, because we look for the way that attracts us and that catches your attention and if possible: that helps to make the decision to visit that place.
It makes us more human, it makes us more empathetic; since there are many who want to surprise ourselves on the next trip, to have the perfect date and in order to do so we read opinions, see photographs and if possible look for videos; everything to have the perfect date.
In the end I think that it makes us more human for wanting to help, it makes us more competitive for wanting to take the best pictures and it makes us more assertive to be able to write the best opinions and to help others.
