My life took a major positive turn, from the moment I got involved in the local guides program, almost a year ago. I must say, the local guides program is a blessing. To me, being a local guide means giving back to society, while learning and building a network of valuable friends.
Through my involvement in the local guides program, I have made friends with more people from my country Cameroon, from diverse backgrounds that think like me. Through the friends I made, I have learned a lot of new things about being a local guide. I shared reviews and added missing places on google maps for fun. This was because, for every activity, google rewarded me with points and I found it interesting to keep going.
However, the moment I came in contact with the community of local guides, my life took a major positive turn. My confidence sat in because I finally found people that are as curious as I am. From that day, I decided to do the things I love, even when no one is watching.
I love the fact that being a local guide helps me, add value to the lives of many people. I have successfully put up about 5 businesses on the map to help their customers locate them, and allow them to share their business content on the free business profile by google maps.
I have also recommended a lot of people on where to go, and how to take certain decisions, based on my reviews. This program has given me the urge to learn new skills like street photography and video editing. These skills have added so much value to my life, and have given me a digital marketer reputation.
