- It’s all start with one photo captured inside my car. Not a professional one just a quick photo of restaurant’s menu. When I search for this restaurant, I didn’t find a menu for it. So, when I went there I took a photo for menu so I uploaded I and forget about it. After a while out of nowhere I received a notification from google maps said that my photo has been viewed over than 1000 view. I liked the idea that I helped more than 1000 person with just simple action like taking a photo. Then it keep counting 4000, 8000 now it is 12000 view.
I realized that you don’t have to be rich or famous or super hero to help thousands of people.
You just need the will to help.
And that’s what local guide connect means to me my way to help thousands of people every day.
Taking a photo for some restaurant they like to order from, adding a place which some one need to go to or even by adding a phone number as simple as it is.
As a person who is looking for perfectionism, when I decide to buy something, go to restaurant, preparing for an activity, I have to make sure that everything is perfect.
So to do this before local guides connect I was turning into a polling company calling all my friend getting their recommendation searching the internet to match their recommendation with the reviews on the website – you should know that the most repeated words in my browser history is “ What is the best….?”.
All of that has been changed after I discover local guide life has become much easier I dont need to do the same effort as before now all I need to do is just look up what local guides say about the places I want to visit.
One of things that make local guides connect very special to me the accessibility information provided for a lot of places which help special needs .
As citizen of one of third world country we don’t find a lot of interest in this field. So I think it is a very helpful to provide this information for special needs to make it more easy for them. I so a video for some of local guides doing accessibility meet-up to adding wheel chair accessible information. I think this is one of the most great thing about local guide connect program allowing people to help each other.
