One sunny Saturday afternoon in 2019, I was on my way to a friend’s wedding and a woman from nowhere crossed the taxi I was in. The driver had no option than to stop. She was carrying a little child who was having a serious health complication. I was eager to help because the tears of the crying mother touched my heart. With the aid of google map, I was able to locate the nearest hospital since none of us were familiar with the environs. I made her hopped in and the driver drove us to the hospital using google map’s accurate navigation system. We made it to the hospital on time and thanks to the dedicated doctors and nurses on duty, the child was saved. I was late for the wedding but the most important thing was that I helped save a life that day. The woman has been thanking me ever since.
I discovered local guides after that incident and it motivated me to be part of this amazing community. My participation has a local guide has changed my life completely and also, it has given me a sense of purpose. This program means a lot to me because I am making an impact on people’s lives through my reviews. I have helped a lot of people discover amazing and interesting places around the country by reviewing places I previously visited which has enabled them to make the right choice.
Through my involvement, I have assisted a lot of business owners to add their small businesses to the google map. It has boosted their sales because they are easily located by their customers. It has brought me so much joy because I am using technology to help people. I have received a lot of messages from business owners thanking me for reviewing their spots. I love what I do and I will continue to assist people to discover wonderful places around the world.
