Started sharing my pictures a few year ago without understanding how big impact i am making to the society and people who constantly use google for exploring and deciding where to go based on reviews and picture they see, everything changed when i moved to Sweden from Tanzania (my country of heart).
I must say local Guide program has had such a huge impact and help since i moved here in Sweden, it was during winter season and dark all day long , without a job life felt so lonely and boring but with all the email of company, restaurant , and shop owners liking my reviews on their property gave me so much energy and that sparked so much curiosity on the program and since then i have been frequently sharing and answering a couple of questions to help people
Through my involvement in Local Guide program I have made friends and expand my networks with people of foreign culture and tradition , above all Local Guide helped me to find places and technically i can say it was one of the reason i could find a job super fast , with this in my mind every time i visit a new place i always try to take pictures and share my experience with this varsity community that i love , of course this has also improved my photography skills, you do not agree?, look this image below ?
There is a large community out there who does not really know if people like us exists , always get so shocked when they see picture on their google search and find my name tagged on it , so i end up explaining the all about being a Local Guide , which is fun for me and i enjoy talk about it and show them all the new features of google maps that i get first, my photos being featured and also being on top 5% in my city , mails i receive from Google Maps, these mails are such a booster , here is a picture that i took when my company changed a name and made me make lots of Friends ,
