What Local Guides means to me: adventure, motivation, and information sharing

The Local Guide program I has discovered eight months ago.To me, the Local Guide means motivation, adventure, and information sharing.

I really like travelling, I really do. But who does not?
When you travel you meet different people, see many places, find different cultures etc., in short travelling means many, many interesting things.
I have already been to many places. In some cases I was a member of a tourist group which hired tour guides.
I have always admired tour guides. You can ask me, why?
Because they are so knowledgeable about the places they show to tourists.
As it is written, tour guides must be able to provide travelers with all the information they should know about the place they are visiting.
For me, being a local guide means basically the same thing, namely giving useful and / or interesting information to those who are interested.
As a local guide I take photos and write information about places that might be useful for others and based on feedbacks received the information I gave proved to be useful or interesting at least.
As I wrote earlier I enjoyed receiving information from tour guides.
This leads me to another thought.
Honestly, I am not a ’everything as planned’ type, I rarely plan anything except for traveling.
In this case I try to collect as much information as I can about the places I am going to visit and using this information I plan each day of my trip accordingly.
Where to stay, what to see and when, how to get there etc.
Exactly that happened when I visited New York last September.

I photo of me on the Brooklyn Bridge.

I checked lots of photos, read many texts, among others personal opinions and as a result I prepared very detailed, daily ’trip plans’ well in advance contrary to my ’basic personality’.
I think you can agree with me that all of that saved me lots of time ’when in action’ and during this ’process’ I became much more informed than I was before, which is simply amazing.
