Google Local Guides has been an awesome hobby and outlet for me as I have dived into motherhood full time. I needed a hobby that was available to me whenever. I realized as I contributed I was helping fellow travelers be more aware of awesome places or just downright don’t waste your time here kind of places. Local Guides has also been an extremely helpful tool to me as well when it comes to planning trips with my family.
I find the photos posted of places on Google Local Guides also give a perspective about the place that words often are not able to describe. I immensely enjoy taking photos and then adding them to Google to help other travelers be aware of what all a place actually entails. A photo is often worth a 1000 words someone once said.
How many restaurants actually post a photo of their dining room or their menu with actual prices on it? I have found taking photos of especially these two things help other people know what to expect when going to a new place. Take for example this photo would help someone trying to find a restaurant that would be good to go to with a group of people or even someone looking for a place that has good seating for people eating alone.
