It’s been about 2 years since i joined life changing Local Guide program and it would not be wrong if i say that i became a better human being. Local Guide program boasted my confidence and gave me a purpose to serve my community and makes my city or state a better place for visitors. It has changed my perception to see things differently. As a local guide, i have been several conversations with the beloved people, luckily i am a tourism management student hence i am usually travelling therefore this program enabled me to many good things in various ways like reviewing about places, taking photos of those to make easier for the people to make better decisions about the place or other things they are wondering to do or visit. I believe it gave a sense of purpose to my put perspective to see everything on this earth differently. I am belongs to a small town in Jaisalmer and it’s lies within the Thar desert, hence i always do my best to contribute to community through reviews, photos or navigate places to small local business. I’m proudly representing my city to the all visitors all across the world to explore, as tourism is the main industry in Jaisalmer hence it impacted socio economic life of people in many ways. I feel relieved that my reviews and photos makes local business convenient to visitors throughout Rajasthan. Being a local guide has brought me much joy and it means so much to me in the areas of so many things including-
Awareness- Local Guide has made me realise the importance of the environment.
Responsibility- I also make sure that my reviews impact the people decisions therefore i am giving my best to put good content. So, for me, the Local Guide program is a way to serve the people. Through my involvement in the Local Guide program, I’ve learned so much about culture, diversity and friendliness, especially i have become a good photographer.
