I have discovered local guide about 3 years ago. Being a local guide in Cambodia to me is empower community based tourism and I am forever grateful for this job and what I have contributed to my local community through this google platform. Last year I explored a place with my local guide friend in Kep province, he guided me to the small village near the beach and when I arrived. The Local warmly welcomed me and show their kindness toward me.

It was such beautiful hidden place, that I have never seen before. They live and collaborate so peacefully with mother nature. The landscapes have mountains, sea, beach, fishing area to be preserved. He told me maybe no one even knows we are existing here because it’s just a small village near the sea and quite so far from town. After we have lunch together with the chief village and they made food for us as a visitor. Both my friend and I took a rest and relax with the sound of the sea and soon after we walking around and take photos, video, to upload some photos on google map. Hopefully, it helps the community to generate more income besides fishing and family farming. Later, I got information from my local friend, he’s said it start having domestic tourists and international come to visit that place. Local guide program helps me bring my community to the world, it bringing the world closer to the community.
