I love pizza and I know what kinds of things I like on my pizzas. Every Wednesday is pizza day in our house. Sometimes we make them ourselves, sometimes we buy them. Often when travelling and I need a quick meal I will go and find a local pizza place preferably not part of one of the big chains that has good reviews and looks nice in the photos and I will drop in for a meal.
I tend to go for pizzas with a lot of fresh ingredients like this one which has basil, onion, tomato, bocconcini, shaved Remano parmesan, mozzarella, and of course garlic on a wonderful thick puffy dough. The dough often causes arguments in our household because some of us like a thin crispy crust and others like fresh puffy bread. Sometimes I just like simple and go for a pizza with just garlic, mozzarella cheese and salt.
I particularly love the flavours given by a wood fired pizza oven and will seek those out over other options where available.
However, my choice gets restricted hugely.
The usual selection ends at the veg extravaganza consisting of black olives, capsicum, onion, corn, tomato, jalapeno & cheese.
I like so much Pizza especially with fresh ingredients (like you) and my favorite one includes thin Parma ham slices, Parmesan cheese and rucola, added just after the Pizza comes out from the oven
it is impossible to resist to a nice pizza I think hehe … well you know I love it LOL and my favorite topping is: buffalo provola (kind of mozzarella), sausages and friarielli (this is a very typical plant of broccoli growing up only in the areas of Naples from where we use the big leaves rather than the central part).
We also have weekly pizza in my house @PaulPavlinovich , we always order it on Sunday nights and if we can’t then we postpone it to other day of the week, but we never miss it.
We never tried making it ourselves, at least not from scratch… I think we would have a mob of italians coming at us if we tried.
It’s hard choosing just one favorite topping, I like really cheesy pizzas too much so it could be more cheese. I also like basil and tomato on my pizzas, and I really like one kind we have here that’s called fugazzeta: onion and loads of cheese, no sauce. And most pizzerias put olives on every slice, which is also nice.
I love pizza as well @PaulPavlinovich , but usually, I order or prepare the same one: Margherita. Cheese, fresh tomatoes, and basil are enough to make a delicious pizza. It’ll take a while till my lunchtime, and you already made me hungry.
Good evening. I love pizza too. I think pizza that can be eaten easily is a wonderful dish with unlimited toppings. I like potato and mentaiko toppings. Mentaiko is a Japanese ingredient that is spicy with fish eggs. Delicious pizza with the scent of the sea. Thank you very much. Regard
Wow… every Wednesday must be a great day for you, especially when you make homemade pizza with your family. That must be fun! I’ve never made pizza by myself before, but I wish one day I could make it.
I also a pizza lovers who easily love every topping. One of my favorite is BBQ Pork Pizza in thin crust.
Ah, pizza - such a treat to have (I’d love to have it anytime). I have the same arguments when it comes to me and my fiance in terms of not only the dough type (thin, pan crust, original), but sometimes we even have to discuss the sauces used too (white, tomato, etc), haha. One thing we usually agree on more than anything is the toppings - some of our favorites are bacon, mushrooms, black olives, and garlic as well.
I like to try the non-chain places near my home, we recently found a local New York style place nearby that has proven themselves time and time again, but sometimes find ourselves resorting to chain places due to their promotions or quickness.
I would like to share a photo of probably one of the best pies we ever had in Sunnyvale during our trip to Google I/O. After a fun time around Mountain View and the surrounding areas with @KimberlyAnnG , we ordered in from My Indian Pizza. Hands down the best pizza (Butter Chicken Pizza with butter sauce, chicken, diced tomatoes, diced bell peppers and fresh cilantro) I’ve had and we’ve been dying to have it ever since.
