First, it is one of the oldest stadiums in México and at the same time one of the most modern, because of its remodeling in 2017.
It opened on August 8, 1954 and has it has hosted World Cup matches twice, in 1970 and 1986, players like Pelé have played here.
And my favorite fact, 9 of the 10 championships have been won here.
On February 12 of 2017, it was the centenary of the team, so the owner decided to remodel the stadium and celebrate with a modern one, there were some plans to build a new one but there is a lot of history in that field and in the goals, the grass was moved entirely to a temporary location while the stadium was being remodeled, but the goals were not moved. It had a capacity of 20,000 seats, 10 thousand seats were added and a lot of screens and technology making it more comfortable.
Attending a match with a wheelchair was impossible, so they added elevators and now there are reserved areas for wheelchairs.

I like soccer very much. But to tell you the truth, I don’t know the stadiums well.
With the exception of this one, from Team Chapecoense, from Santa Catarina, here in Brazil.
I was honored to produce the virtual tour in 2017.
This team became very well known here in Brazil, for the meteoric rise and quality of their football presented in 2016.
However, in the same year, the team traveled to an international championship in Colombia and suffered an air accident. Victiming almost everyone.
It was a great commotion and ended up becoming the second team of Brazilians.
So it was an honor to photograph the 360 virtual tour the year after that emblematic accident.
And it became my favorite stadium here in Brazil.

My favorite stadium is Saltlake stadium, in my own city-Kolkata with 85000 capacilty. The picture I have attached is during the final match of FIFA under 17 world cup 2017, which was hosted in INDIA.
