What is wrong. Add a place failure

I stood in front of this address. I took this above picture while at the address posted on the sign

but the add a place was rejected saying that google could not confirm the add a place

so please tell me what I am doing wrong

i entered it as Phillip s George’s pllc

which is shown on the sign clearly

The website on the sign was also entered as the website for the address

my chance the lawyer I talked too said great and thanked me

what did I do incorrectly or any suggestion

Here are some tips to consider :

Did you do a text search to check if the place is already on the map?

Adding Pllc is not correct.

Did you look up the phone number in reverse in the Local online phone directory? Did it return the same name and address?

Did you open the website and see the same address? If not, you should find the particular branch and add that url to your listing when creating it.

Did the “Could not be verified” verdict come with in 2 minutes?

PS being at the location is not helping you but the pre-verification described above does.

  1. I did go to the website listed on the sign while there. This location did not show on the web site (that is one of the reasons I was adding it) adding what URL. I added the website as it was listed on the sign in the website name
  1. Adding pllc in the name. You say it is not correct, but it is correct this is the office not the lawyers home address

BUT. I understand the reason as most people would not pllc when searching for the lawyer by name only. We are good on your suggestion here

  1. I called the phone number it goes to a main office located elsewhere in the USA I did not do a reverse phone number lookup at the time
  1. Yes the rejection came back pretty quick but I did not see it till later when I checked my contributions

I’m always happy to help.

If you can not find a sub page on the website with the address of this branch mentioned this is where to start if you want to get the place on to Google Maps. Adding a deep link to such a page will help you get it approved. And if such a pages does not exist you should ask the business to get it fixed on their website.

It’s pretty much the same issue with a national phone number. But If you get the website in order your chances are that the place will be approved.

It would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.
