sculpture of 5 tree stumps with golden sap, it is a sculpture but there is no plaque to indicate the artist, name or date
Hi @tac
You have pointed out a issue, obviously contributor of that photos had not done it perfectly
Thanks for show us a new thing!
Have a nice day
@MortenCopenhagen good morning. Do you maybe have an idea.
I like how straight to the point your post is @tac
Maybe if you share a Maps link, others may know or what do you think, Senior?
Thanks for the tag, @Ewaade_3A .
@tac , please share the location and I will take a look.
Sometimes the park staff get creative and create something resembling a sculpture when maintaining the parks. If that is the case such structures are not considered to be art. And you will not be able to find an artist who made it.
There is a tradition to create fireplaces and places for democratic discussions by placing tree stumps in a circle.
Cheers
Morten
I knew you would know, but not just know, but have relevant and useful information.
If ever I was to give you another nickname, it will be the âBrainâ. You are very helpful to this community @MortenCopenhagen
Thank you for always responding when I call, I appreciate
Morten,
the address is Rentemestervej 9, 2400 København
They are exactly the same in terms of size, marks etc, and positioned in a perfect circle, so I do not think they are natural.
Good luck, looking forward to hearing if you can identify the artist. It is just down the street from Sjakket.
Trac
Thanks Tracy,
On your photos it looked like they were natural but painted over.
Regarding sculptures in the Copenhagen area, please let me share these two links:
https://kk.sites.itera.dk/apps/kk_monuments/index.php
and
https://samlingen.koes.dk/vaerker-i-det-offentlige-rum
The second made some changed so it is pretty hard to copy the URL to one particular sculpture. But it is possible. The second covers all of Denmark and not only Copenhagen.
They have helped me a lot.
Iâm in HornbĂŚk and I will not be able to check the stumps before some time next week.
Nice to finally âmeetâ you. Iâve noticed your photos and additions quite often on Google Maps.
Morten
Hello Morten!
Yes, sometimes we seem to follow each other around. I live in København K. I have used the above sites before, but it didnât seem to be on either of them.
There is also the Carlsberg Foundation database https://www.ny-carlsbergfondet.dk/en/soeg-i-kunsten?text=&year%5Bmin%5D=2020&year%5Bmax%5D=&page=6 but I wasnât sure what to search for?
Tracey
no, across the street on the north-eastern corner of Skaffervej and Rentemestervej
Thanks for the Carlsberg art database. I certainly bookmarked it.
It would be really helpful if you would always use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.
We have an issue to fix together. One that I have not been able to fix.
We both added this impressive sculpture:

https://goo.gl/maps/4Lpw5U8HsLJRciUPA
They should be merged.
All the best
Morten
Thanks for the tip on the tagging tool, still new here.
The Carlsberg database is useful, but at the moment doesnât seem to have a map function.
Re the statute - I just tried to close mine due to the duplication, so we will see if the system accepts. Perhaps the names are too different.
Have a great weekend, I am off to Havnsø
Perfect tagging. Thanks.
Rearding the sculpture: The issue is that the spam filter restricts us from editing our âownâ pins repeatedly. I will look into it later.
Enjoy the weekend.
Morten
Visited the place today. Snapped some more pics and asked around.
Definitely art. Neighbors estimate the are about a year old.
I wrote to the Municipality to inquire.
Cheers
Morten
