What is the most interesting thing you've done as a Local Guide?

The most interesting thing I’ve experienced as a Local Guide is adding & reviewing new places to google maps. It is actually sharing of information through pictures and reviews. When people benefit from using my photographs and information I feel I am the host and they are my guests. Its actually a one-time effort to post pictures and reviews but people will be benefited from it for years to come. I feel motivated to explore more places as a local guide.

Below are some of the places I’ve added and the impact I could make:

Reliance Smart – It’s a big store and I generally go shopping groceries at Reliance Fresh every week as it has good variety of things offering good discounts as well. It’s very near to my residence and we get everything we need over here, be it groceries, fruits, vegetables or cleaning stuff. The staff is also very helpful. I took some pictures and posted them on google maps which were viewed by many people which motivated me to take more pictures

Manisha Agencies – It was my mother’s birthday and I wanted to buy a cake for her. Since Manish agencies is near my house, I went there and bought one. But all his cakes were so attractive that I took some pictures and posted them on google maps. It’s a good place to buy bakery products. Many people liked the pictures which encouraged me to post more. Now, we buy cakes from there on every birthday in the family.

By answering questions asked by people, I feel very good. I am helping different kind of people: entrepreneurs, customers, students, housewives etc. I felt elated when I came to know that my photographs are becoming popular. I am so excited to make a difference to the world.
