What is the most interesting thing you've done as a Local Guide?

Most interesting thing I did as a Local guide: Discovering My Family of Classic Car Enthusiast,

I have been a part of google Local Guide program for last few years. Each time I visit some place google maps notification pops up on my mobile screen and asks, how was my experience, it asks for my reviews and my recommendations. This simple process of “asking” developed a unique sense of belonging in me. Google maps got me hooked and I became accustomed to this process of speaking my heart out. I began to review each place I visited, whether it was some random small cafe, a beautiful mosque (masjid) or some automobile workshop. I am a classic car owner, so I visit repair workshops quite often. I believe in value of “invested material” and “emotional appeal” of classic automobiles. I realized that classic car restoration is a unique art and as a local guide I must let my people know about the places and workshops that can help us save, repair and rebuilt of amazing classic cars. I started to visit and review the classic car repair workshops. During the process I met people who shared similar interest. I arranged meet up with them and discovered that there is a whole bunch of people that value the spirit of “emotional assets “ and believe in “recycling and repair of classic cars”. I met them, we visited those workshops together, reviewed them, shared our experience and planned our voyages together. We traveled the whole country and added more review to google maps. Google maps changed my life. I became part of something bigger than me, my solitary reviews changed into public opinions, my solo photos turned into group photos. That local guide who had joined google maps as a single individual earned a magnificent family of “Classic Car Enthusiasts”. This is why I have great faith in google maps. It unites us and makes us one big family of happy souls. Together we can overcome every sorrow no matter how trivial or big it is.
